Children’s Book Award committee members (Wendy Hein, Michelle Solinsky, Eduardo Bessa & Jennifer Mather) select finalists from the pool of received submissions and then distribute copies to a local elementary school for children to judge and select the winner.  This year, Jennifer Mather took books to the students at Westminster School in Lethbridge, Alberta.  After they had judged the books, students decided to donate a copy of each finalist to the Lethbridge Public Library. Here the children are shown donating them to the school’s librarian.
