2016 Annual Meeting
The 53rd Animal Behavior Society Meeting was held in Columbia, Missouri and had 609 attendees from 19 countries including: Argentina, Australia, Austria, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, Hungary, India, Ireland, Korea, Mexico, Nepal, Pakistan, Thailand, United Kingdom, United States and Uruguay. With five concurrent sessions, the meeting included 62 invited talks and 235 contributed talks and 152 posters. Symposia and plenaries included a public talk by Frans de Waal on Are We Smart Enough to Know How Smart Animals Are?, as well as a talk by ABS 2015/2016 president Emília Martins on Context matters: How history, physiology, social partners, and habitats shape animal behavior.
