Display Space/Poster Dimensions

The maximum dimension of each poster should be 46 inches tall and 44 inches wide. All poster presenters need to bring push pins/thumb tacks so they can mount their posters on the display boards.

Poster Sessions

Posters will be presented in themed groups during 3 poster sessions held over 3 nights (Session A: Monday 26, Session B: Tuesday 27 and Session C: Wednesday 28). There will be refreshments during each session.

You can find your poster code on the index of authors or poster schedule, which will tell you the session during which you should present your work (letter code) and the presentation board at which your poster will be displayed (number).

If you are in poster session A (Applied Animal Behaviour Session), this means you should put your poster up on the display boards on the morning of Monday 26. You should stand by your poster from 7pm to 9:00pm on the evening of Monday 26th. You must remove your poster by 9:30pm on Tuesday 27.

If you are in poster session B, this means you should put your poster up on the display boards on the morning of Monday 26. You should stand by your poster from 7pm to 9:00pm on the evening of Tuesday 27th. You must remove your poster by 9:30pm on Tuesday 27.

If you are in poster session C, this means you should put your poster up on the display boards on the morning of Wednesday 28. You should stand by your poster from 7pm to 9:00pm on the evening of Wednesday 26th. You must remove your poster by 6pm on Thursday 29th.

Any posters not removed by the designated time may be discarded, so please adhere to these removal times.

Posters will be located in the first floor lobby and the second floor Tidewater rooms (both in the Sadler Center). You may locate your display space on your assigned day Session A: Monday 26, Session B: Tuesday 27 and Session C: Wednesday 28) by finding the number that corresponds to your poster code number.

Two awards will be given for posters presented at the meeting:

  • The FOUNDERS AWARD will be given for the best poster paper at the Annual Meeting. Founders Award entries must check the appropriate box on the Abstract Submission form. FOUNDERS AWARD poster presenters are required to have available miniature, 1- page copies of the poster for handouts.
  • The GENESIS AWARD will be given for the best poster paper presented by an undergraduate student. Abstracts for posters presented by undergraduates will automatically be enrolled in the Genesis competition. Students who do not wish to participate in this competition should respond to the email note confirming receipt of the abstract, and will be removed from the list.
