Postdoc position at UC Davis in Behavioral Ecology
A postdoc position funded by a NSF grant is available in Andy Sih’s lab at the University of California, Davis.  The position has funding for two years, and can begin as early as September 1, 2018 though the start date is negotiable.
The postdoc will join one or both of two NSF funded projects, replacing a postdoc who is moving on to a new job.  One project examines relationships between behavioral syndromes, movement ecology, social networks and parasite transmission.  The other examines relationships between ecological factors, behavioral syndromes and sexual selection.  The postdoc must have strong expertise in statistical methods for analyzing behavioral syndromes and their relationships with other traits or outcomes.  Expertise in statistical methods used to analyze large GPS data sets and/or in social network statistics are also a plus.  Although the postdoc will work with us on existing data sets, she/he will also have freedom to pursue related projects. To apply, please send the following to Andy Sih ([email protected]): (i) a summary of your research interests, skills and experiences relevant to the position; (ii) a CV including publication list; and (iii) names and contact details of two referees who can provide confidential letters of recommendation. The application deadline is June 30, 2018 but applications will be reviewed as they arrive.
