Graduate positions available in behavioral neurogenomics/neuroethology, University of Nebraska at Omaha

The Wong lab is seeking applications for graduate students (Ph.D. or Master’s) interested in the fields of behavioral neurogenomics or neuroethology. We employ an integrative approach to understand the molecular and neural mechanisms of stress coping styles; research is funded by the National Institutes of Health.

The lab is broadly interested in the proximate mechanisms of variation in complex behaviors. We draw on principles and methodologies from behavioral ecology, neuroethology, molecular neuroscience, to bioinformatics. Additional details are found on the lab website (https://sites.google.com/a/unomaha.edu/wonglab/) or you can contact Dr. Ryan Wong directly ([email protected]).

Students can apply to the University of Nebraska at Omaha’s Psychology Department (Ph.D. with a concentration in Neuroscience & Behavior, http://www.unomaha.edu/college-of-arts-and-sciences/psychology/academics/graduate-programs/neuro.php) or Biology Department (Master’s only, http://www.unomaha.edu/college-of-arts-and-sciences/biology/academics/graduate-programs.php). Deadline to apply is January 2019.

The Wong lab currently has funds for graduate student support on a Graduate Research Assistant Fellowship. Strong applicants are also eligible for Teaching Assistant Fellowships with tuition waivers, health insurance, and competitive stipends. Interested students are highly encouraged to initiate contact with Dr. Ryan Wong to further discuss opportunities and should e-mail a statement of interest and CV.
