Assistant Professor of Plant or Animal Physiology

The School of Integrative Biology at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position at the level of Assistant Professor to begin August 16, 2019.  A Ph.D. or equivalent degree in biology or a related field is required at the time of appointment. Salary is commensurate with experience. The successful candidate will join one or more of the departments within the School (Departments of Animal Biology, Entomology, or Plant Biology) and develop an externally funded research program, teach at the undergraduate and graduate level, and collaborate with other faculty. Applicants will be evaluated on their record and promise of excellence in research and teaching. The ideal candidate’s research on physiology will interface with ecology, evolutionary biology, development, behavior, and/or molecular genetics. Incorporation of a field component in the research will be especially valued. Full consideration will be given to applications received by October 1, 2018.
