The Associate Curator of Research at the North Carolina Zoo will conduct zoo-based research with a focus on animal behavior. This position will advance applied research objectives of the zoo related to animal welfare and visitor studies, working closely with the zoo’s animal, science, and education departments. In addition, the position will oversee the zoo’s Animal research committee and mentor undergraduate students from North Carolina State University through our intern program. The ideal candidate will have a graduate degree related to animal behavior and experience conducting research in a zoo setting. Initial salary will be up to $52,000. Position posting closes May 7.
