Non-tenure Faculty Position in Neuroscience

College of Arts & Sciences

The Neuroscience Program at the University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO) invites applications for a 3-year appointment, non-tenure track Instructor position in Neuroscience to start August 2020. The position is renewable and allows for advancement. We seek applicants who are broadly trained and able to teach a range of undergraduate courses that may include (but are not limited to) Introduction to Neuroscience, Neuroscience Methods, and Advanced Neuroscience Laboratory. Coursework in the candidate’s area of expertise will be welcome. A molecular/cellular emphasis with a background in areas such as neuroimmunology, neuropharmacology, developmental, clinical and/or systems neuroscience are particularly welcome. As a faculty member, the successful applicant will teach three courses per semester, and receive a quarter-time time assignment in undergraduate advising.

 

Candidates must have completed an earned doctorate in Neuroscience or a related field prior to the start date of employment. Area of specialization within Neuroscience is open. The ideal candidate will have a strong background of excellence in teaching with demonstrated commitments to supporting a diverse undergraduate student population. Experience advising undergraduate students is a plus.
