House
This heritage house in the Highland Creek valley is steps away from the main campus, and site of ‘The pub at the house’ with live entertainment on Thursday nights.

Rex’s Den
The campus pub is open in the evenings for snacks and drinks; with a pool table and outdoor patio area for socializing .

The Department of Athletics and Recreation
The Toronto Pan Am Sports Centre (TPASC), located on campus, is a 365,000 square foot athletic facility, co-owned by the University of Toronto and the City of Toronto. TPASC has a variety of facilities including Olympic pool, field house, climbing, group fitness, and strength and conditioning equipment . Day passes are available, and there are various free drop-in programs offered at different times (including running track use and family gym time). 

Farmer’s Market
Every Wednesday throughout the summer, you can find an amazing assortment of local producers and artisan vendors selling their wares to the community.

The Highland Creek Valley  
Our beautiful campus features 350 acres of forest with many self-guided hiking/running trails. 

Fred Urquhart Memorial Garden
Celebrating the groundbreaking research of Fred and Norah Urquhart, and their discovery of the wintering place of migrating Monarch butterflies (Mexico’s Sierra Madre), this garden is planted with a variety of butterfly-attracting flowering plants

The Wilds of Toronto: Evening Excursionto Downtown Toronto

Get on the bus!  Pre-book to join friends for a trip to downtown Toronto.

Departure: Meet in front of the Residence Centre for a 7:00pm departure from UTSC.

The (school) bus can drop you off at one of two spots, depending on the type of evening you are seeking:

1. Hart House on the University of Toronto downtown campus (http://harthouse.ca/, 7 Hart House Cir, Toronto, ON M5S 3H3). From here, you can wind your way among the historic and modern buildings of the main campus of the University of Toronto, find your way to nearby transit (subway & streetcar) to get to many interesting neighbourhoods full of restaurants, bars, clubs, and cultural destinations. An easy walk to the ROM (Royal Ontario Museum) Relatively nearby destinations include: Chinatown, Kensington Market, Yorkville, or the Annex/Little Italy. Other possibilities that are a bit further: Danforth, Riverside, Queen St W, little Portugal, Trinity-Bellwoods, Ossington. 2. Harbourfront Centre at Queen’s Quay (http://www.harbourfrontcentre.com/whoweare/visitors/). Get up close and personal with Lake Ontario, stroll the boardwalk, or use this as a jumping-off point to see (via a short walk and transit, uber or taxi) the CN Tower, Ripley’s Aquarium, the Distillery District, or the Entertainment District. Return trip: Meet in at your drop-off point by 11pm for return to UTSC.
On the return trip, the bus will stop at the Delta Toronto East and the Residence Centre (UTSC campus). Drop off is expected by about 11:45pm.
