ABS Career Award Nominations
Please use the following form to submit a nomination for an ABS Career Award.
The following awards are available:
- Distinguished Animal Behaviorist: outstanding lifetime achievement in animal behavior
- Exemplar Award: major long-term contribution to animal behavior
- Outstanding New Investigator: outstanding contribution by a new investigator
- Quest Award: outstanding seminal contribution
- Exceptional Service Award: sustained service contributions to the Animal Behavior Society
Step 2: Nomination Materials

All members of the society are encouraged to prepare and submit nominations for these awards. Nominees must be ABS members who are not current officers or committee chairs. To aid the Selection Committee and to help codify the procedures involved, the following items must be submitted for a nomination: All members of the society are encouraged to prepare and submit nominations for these awards. Please submit the following materials (*)

File 1: A letter of nomination indicating the award for which the nominee is being proposed. It should provide details on the reasons the nominee should be considered for that award.
File 1: A letter outlining the contributions that the nominee has made to the Animal Behavior Society.

File 2: A curriculum vitae of the nominee.
File 2: Additional supporting letters from colleagues that have been solicited by the nominator. All letters should be submitted as a single PDF file.
