Abstract
The convergence of hybrid vigor and behavioral ecology underpins productive resilience in modern systems. This study examines a backgrounding unit in Southern Brazil, prioritizing genotype-environment interaction through the synergy of genetic heterosis and facility structuring. Research focuses on modeling a high-fidelity nutritional plan — corn silage, soybean hulls, and oats via the BR-CORTE system — as a modulator of herd stability and biological welfare. Planning establishes feed access points configured to reduce social competition, mitigate aggressive interactions, and stimulate gregarious behavior, optimizing intake efficiency. It was observed that Nelore's hardiness, harmonized with Brahman's low reactivity, consolidates a balanced herd with low handling stress. Shelter structures and rotational grazing constitute environmental enrichment decisive for thermoregulation and metabolic balance. In conclusion, the 1.0 kg/day gain estimate validates a model where technique and environment respect breed adaptation, promoting high-performance production.
