In-Person or Virtual

ABS 2024 Participation Options

Due to the ongoing uncertainity caused by the COVID pandemic, ABS 2024 will have two options for participating in this year's meeting. The details of each participation option are listed below and include information for both authors and attendees.

IN-PERSON EXPERIENCE

This is the traditional in-person registration option for presenters and attendees that plan to travel to London, Ontario to join us live for ABS 2024 this June.

IN-PERSON AUTHOR INSTRUCTIONS

Authors that register for the In-Person Experience will be asked to give their presentation in TWO formats:

(1) All in-person authors will have their oral or poster presentation scheduled for live presentation in Portland. The details of your presentation including date, time and location will be distributed to all authors once the program has been finalized. Only In-Person attendees will be able to view your live presentations. Live sessions at ABS 2024 will not be recorded.

(2) In-Person presenters are also asked to upload a copy of your presentation (either video/talk or poster) using the presenter portal so that both In-Person and Virtual Experience attendees may view your presentation in on-demand format.

IN-PERSON ATTENDEE INFORMATION

In-Person attendees will have access to BOTH the full live program while in London, as well as on-demand access to all live and virtual presentations after the event has concluded.

Note that while all in-person presenters are highly encouraged to also upload a copy of their presentation into the virtual meeting platform, some presentations from the live program may not be available online.

VIRTUAL EXPERIENCE

This new offering allows Virtual Experience presenters and attendees to participate in ABS 2024 in an asynchronous/on-demand manner AFTER the in-person conference and is intended for authors & attendees that do not plan on traveling to London, Ontario this June.

VIRTUAL AUTHOR INSTRUCTIONS

Authors that register for the Virtual Experience will be asked to give their presentation in ONE format:

(1) Virtual presenters are asked to upload a copy of your presentation (either video/talk or poster) using the presenter portal so that both In-Person and Virtual Experience attendees may view your presentation in on-demand format.

VIRTUAL ATTENDEE INFORMATION

Virtual attendees will only have access to the on-demand presentations uploaded by both In-Person and Virtual presentations. Live recordings of the plenary presentations will be available online after the meeting, but no live content from other talks (symposia and contributed) and posters will be available online.

Note that while all in-person presenters are highly encouraged to also upload a copy of their presentation into the virtual meeting platform, some presentations from the live program may not be available online.
