Local Eatery Recommendations

Finding food Near the Hotel/Fun Places to Eat:
(walking times are for able-bodied adults; there are also scooters and other forms of transportation liberally available in the inner harbor downtown area, including the Charm City Circulator, which is free and will take you to almost all of these places: https://charmcity.passiogo.com/)

There are a number of restaurants in the inner harbor area (5-15 min) walking distance, including The Cheesecake Factory, Shake Shack, The Capital Grille, Ramen Utsuke, Kona Grill, Pratt Street Ale House, and Saturday Morning Café, amongst others. These do tend to be priced for the inner harbor tourist district, but are an easy/quick walk.

For an interesting, Baltimore-specific experience, and for those willing to walk/travel a little farther:

SOUTH / FEDERAL HILL

Traveling south by foot on Light Street, a 15-20 min walk will take you to Federal Hill. If you keep walking south on Light Street, you will find numerous places to eat, many with strong ratings.

On the way to Federal Hill (make a left / head east at Key Hwy):
Rusty Scupper (seafood)

In Federal Hill, especially recommended:
Sam’s Bagels (breakfast / lunch)
Blue Moon Too (breakfast / lunch)
Blue Agave (Mexican)
Bmore Licks (ice cream / dessert)
Cross Street Market (numerous options inside)
There are also numerous eateries on either side of the market on Cross Street, most get great reviews.

One street over to the west (Charles Street) in the same general area will have:
Angeli’s pizzeria (some of the best pizza on the east coast south of NYC)
Illusions Bar and Theater (bar / magic shows)
ZAATAR (Mediterranean)

EAST / LITTLE ITALY
Traveling east by foot on E Pratt Street a 20-30 min walk will take you to Little Italy. Walk past the inner harbor on Pratt. After you pass the Aquarium (as well as numerous fast-food establishments) keep traveling east toward Little Italy.
On the way to Little Italy, recommended:
Miss Shirley’s (breakfast / lunch)

In Little Italy:
Virtually anything – you can’t go wrong in Little Italy if you appreciate Italian food!

Especially recommended:
La Tavola
Benny’s
Dalesio’s
Angeli’s pizzeria
And also not to be missed: Vaccaro’s Italian Pastry shop

SOUTHEAST / HARBOR EAST
A 20-30 min walk southeast of the hotel will get you to Harbor East. Travel east toward the Aquarium on E. Pratt Street. As soon as you get to the Aquarium turn right and cross the piers until you get into Harbor East (along President Street).
Especially recommended:
Taco Fiesta (Tijuana-style Mexican; reasonable priced lunch dinner, best salsa in town)
EJJI (Malaysian; in the Whole Foods, reasonable lunch, known for its ramen)
The Oceanaire (seafood)
Ouzo Bay (Mediterranean)
Lebanese Taverna (Lebanese)
Cinghiale (Italian)

BREWERIES:
Baltimore has many excellent breweries, a number of them within walking distance of the hotel. The best of these (longer walk) are clustered behind Camden Yards and Ravens (M&T Bank) stadium to the southwest of the hotel (not far from Federal Hill, if you’re already there for a meal).
Especially recommended:
Wico Street Beer Co
Pickett Brewing Co
Checkerspot Brewing Co
M8 beer

While a bit of a walk, most of these places are accessible via the Charm City Circulator for free! (https://charmcity.passiogo.com/)
