2014 SILENT AUCTION FUNDRAISER

The 11th Annual Silent Auction Fundraiser was held by Drs. Jim and Renee Ha at the 2014 Annual ABS meeting in Princeton, NJ. This was our most successful year ever, thanks to the support of both donors and bidders! We raised a total of $2176, with $94 to the Barlow Fund, $180 to the Latin American Affairs committee, and $1901 to the Student Research Grant program. Thank you to all who participated.

In other Silent Auction news, the Ha's have decided to step down from their responsibilities for the silent auction after 11 years of service. They are looking for someone else, or some group, of regular meeting attendees to step forward and take over organizing and running the Silent Auction.  There is very little to do during the year, mostly provide a couple of announcements and reminders, and a little activity at the meeting, especially early in setting up, and on the last day for a few hours of closing down and accepting payment.  The Ha's would be happy to provide their experience to get you started! If interested, please contact them at: [email protected] and [email protected]. We sincerely thank Jim and Renee for so many years of dedicated service, which has resulted in raising extensive funds to help support the Barlow Fund, the Latin American Affairs Committee, and the Student Research Grant programs.
